Introduction:
Military time chart, also known as the 24-hour clock system, is a way of telling time that is used by the military and other professionals who require absolute precision in timekeeping. This system starts at midnight and counts the hours from 0 to 23. Military time chart may seem intimidating at first, but once you understand how it works, you will be able to convert any regular time to military time quickly.. More about military time cc
The Basics of Military Time Chart:
The most significant advantage of using the military time chart is that there is no scope for confusion between AM and PM since it eliminates them altogether. In this system, instead of using two sets of twelve numbers like traditional clocks (12 hours each), there are twenty-four hours identified as:
- 00:00 - midnight
- 01:00 - one o'clock in the morning
- 02:00 - two o'clock in the morning
- 03:00 - three o'clock in the morning . | . | . | .. Note: The numbers from zero to nine always have a "0" at their start. Therefore instead of '9' o'clock,' you will say '09'.
- If your given regular timing is PM add +12 with it except for noon (12 pm), which converts into 1200 hours in military time.
- If your given regular timing is AM, write it as it is except for 12 am that translates into 0000 hours (or should we say 2400?).
